ELMC Grant to the Fusilier Museum & Learning Centre

WBro Steve Holland presents the ELMC cheque to Chairman Brian Gorski watched by Eric Davidson

Based in an imposing building right in the middle of Bury Town Centre, The Fusilier Museum is home to the collection of the Lancashire Fusiliers and the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, commemorating over 300 years of history and heritage.

As well as housing the museum the building also serves as an educational centre for young people and offers free workshops for children, both during the holidays and in term time. In support of the management of the museum and learning centre several computers have been donated to the organisation over the years but are now considerably out of date and do not operate on a consistent framework.

Consequently WBro Toni Hankins, of the Earl of Lathom Lodge, made a successful application to the ELMC Grant Making Committee for a grant of £4,500 to replace fifteen PC’s.

The District Charity Steward for Bury, WBro Steve Holland, was delighted to present the cheque to the museum at their recent board meeting.
