Christmas Outing
The Children's Christmas Outing, arranged each year by the Young People's Committee, took place on Wednesday 20th December. 2006. Twenty children from the Province attended the event along with twenty adults [parents and Committee members].
The children arrived at The Freemason's Hall, Bridge Street, Manchester at 4.30pm. The children were treated to a wonderful meal and were provided with balloons, party hats and blowers! by Mr Reid and his staff.

The children were then taken to the Opera House, armed with a goody bag, for the Showing of Snow White starring Coronation Street's John Savident [Fred Elliott] and Suranne Jones [Karen McDonald]
The pantomime was excellent and the whole event was a huge success. The children departed with a selection box and with the Committee's best wishes for Christmas and the New Year.
The Committee has since received a number of thank you letters from the children; one reads:
"Thank you for a wonderful meal it was the best. The pantomime was great I would love to go again. It has been a year since we first met you and we have enjoyed all the outings, thank you".
