In December 2018 the Bolton District applied to the ELMC Grants Committee for funding towards the provision of a new jetty at the Jumbles Sailing Club. It was hoped that the new jetty would improve access to the facilities of the club on the Jumbles Reservoir in the Jumbles Country Park.
The grant committee awarded £1,000 toward the construction of the new jetty which will allow better access for disabled people of all ages to the yachts. The overall costs are much higher than £1,000 but the jetty is modular and construction will commence very soon.
