‘Wheelie’ good ‘Bonnetanza’

What an ‘eggcelent’ afternoon we had on Sunday 21st April at The ‘Wheelie’ good ‘Bonnetanza’!

First of all chairman of the Comforts Fund, Charles Ward and Friend of Hewlett Court, David Platt judged the Easter Bonnet parade making resident Margaret the winner, resident Jean the runner up and resident Sybil in thrid place!
All of the bonnets that were made were fantastic and residents put a lot of effort into making them with Pauline in the Monday art classes.

Following on from this we had a marvellous dance performance by the ‘Monochromes’ consisting of residents Doreen, Mary, Joyce and Dot who used their wheelie’s to perform a dance around the room. We then all joined in for a hand jive and then residents Paul, Sybil and Mary performed the St Bernard’s waltz accompanied by staff member Pauline.

To finish off a brilliant afternoon we did the Easter Raffle, Name the Lamb competition and sang Happy Birthday to Sunday supervisor Lisa who will be celebrating her 40th birthday tomorrow.
Resident Pam won the Name the Lamb competition by choosing the name Ronald.

It was lovely to see friends and family attend to support the residents!

We hope everyone had a lovely Easter!
