Yorkshire Floods

Immediately following the devastating recent floods affecting our neighbouring Province of Yorkshire West Riding, the President of the East Lancashire Masonic Charity, Sir David Trippier, was anxious to provide assistance and the Charity has made a donation of £2000 to the South Yorkshire Flood Disaster Relief Appeal, reinforcing the £20,000 donated by the MCF and the Province itself, with further funds having been given by other Provinces, bringing a current total of £60K from Freemasonry. The money donated to this appeal is being applied for the relief of hardship, to repair damage and to help prevent future loss for individuals, families, the local communities and other support groups.

The Provincial Grand Master of Yorkshire West Riding, David Pratt, has expressed his gratitude to East Lancashire and other donors. Locally he has mobilized his Provincial Almoners Team to ensure members and their families affected have their immediate needs attended too with practical assistance – accommodation, food, warmth and company.
