Freemasons Funding Supports Springhill Hospice

The Past President of the East Lancashire Masonic Charity, Sir David Trippier, is delighted to present a cheque for £2,175 to Chief Executive Officer Sam Wells from Springhill Hospice.

The donation made by East Lancashire Masonic Charities has funded a specialised professional training manikin. Springhill works collaboratively with the Greater Manchester Palliative Care Educators Network in developing training programmes and their education unit raises standards of palliative care across Rochdale by building a skilled, knowledgeable, effective, confident and compassionate workforce.

Speaking on behalf of the Hospice Sam said “The manikin will help us to deliver specialised and enhanced training to all of our staff and other medical professionals from across the area.”

Sir David added, “The Hospice plays a vital role in supporting our community and as Freemasons we are always pleased to support the excellent service they consistently provide.”
